Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before purchasing from Altar + Vine. By placing an order through this website or via direct invoice, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. General Information

Altar + Vine is operated by Brooke Stanley-Smith. All products sold are handmade moss art, decor, and related goods. Custom commissions and made-to-order pieces are crafted per client specifications, but remain subject to the artist’s discretion.

These Terms apply to all purchases made through the Altar + Vine website, social platforms, or direct communication (including email and DMs).

2. Product Disclaimer

All items are handmade. Variations in size, color, texture, and design are part of the artistic process and not considered defects. No two pieces are identical.

3. Custom Orders & Deposits

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin custom commissions.

The remaining 50% is due before delivery or shipping.

Custom work cannot be altered once completed. Please ensure all requests are finalized before production begins.

Altar + Vine retains creative control to fulfill the vision based on client input.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping is currently offered within Canada via tracked shipping services.

Altar + Vine is not responsible for delays, damage, or loss incurred during shipping.

Local pickup or delivery may be offered on a case-by-case basis.

You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at the time of purchase.

5. Refunds & Returns

All sales are final. No refunds or returns will be issued.

Each item is carefully inspected before it leaves the studio.

Once an item is shipped or delivered, Altar + Vine is not responsible for damage, wear, or mishandling.

Repairs may be offered at the discretion of the artist and may be subject to a fee.

6. Turnaround Time

Ready-to-ship items will be arranged for Local Edmonton Pickup or Shipping within 5–7 business days.

Custom work timelines will be discussed in detail, as they depend on the scope and schedule.

Timelines are estimates and may shift due to workload, supply availability, or unforeseen events. You will be notified of any significant changes.

7. Intellectual Property

All designs, artwork, images, product names, and written content are the intellectual property of Altar + Vine.

You may not reproduce, resell, or distribute any content or product without written permission.

Commissions may be shared online by the artist for portfolio and marketing purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

8. Use & Care

Moss art is made from preserved moss and does not require watering.

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, or extreme temperatures.

Handle pieces gently and install securely.

Care instructions are provided and must be followed to ensure longevity.

9. Limitation of Liability

Altar + Vine is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use, misuse, or inability to use any product.

This includes but is not limited to damage to property, allergic reactions, or improper installation.
